Harley Davidson – Cubans Find Passion for Old American Motorbikes

The Harley Davidson motorcycle is an icon of Cuban culture. Motorbike lovers have bought the famous American bike even before Fidel Castro became Cuba’s leader. But, because of the American trade embargo, it is difficult to get parts for the Harley Davidson, so sometimes drivers have to make their own ones. In Cuba, Harleys are used for everything.   Cuban policemen use them as their official bike. For members of the Harley Davidson organization in Cuba it is a difficult task to keep the old bikes running.
